Field Description
Configuration

The type of scenario you want to create. The configuration controls the steps available to you as you progress through the MineSched workflow. Options are:

  • Surface: A scenario for an open pit mine.
  • Underground: A scenario for an underground mine.
  • Surface and Underground: A scenario for a mine with both open pit and underground mine components.

Note: If you select the incorrect configuration when you create the scenario, you can change the configuration from within the scenario.

Note: The special characters [space] \ / : * ? " < > | cannot be used in the scenario name. The maximum length of the folder and file name is 256 characters, which is the Microsoft Windows limit.

Folder

You use the New Scenario Default Settings form to specify the default folder in which you want to create new scenarios. Each time you create a new scenario, the Folder field is filled with the default location.

Note: To change the default folder, click the Ellipsis button and select the folder in which you want to save new scenarios.
